ARTHUR ADOLPH SPRINGER Peacefully on February 15, 2005 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, with family at his side, Art Springer, aged 84 years of Moosehorn, MB. Arthur was born September 2, 1920 at Faulkner, MB. He attended Aston Villa School, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. From 1941 until 1946 he served with the Canadian Army, almost entirely overseas. In 1950 he married Alma Bittner of Moosehorn, MB, and has farmed for the past 55 years. He will be missed by his daughter Shirley, grandson Joel; son Alan (Darlene) grandchildren Julie and Alan Jr.; son Donald (Cheryl), granddaughters, Charis and Dale (Rene), grandson Devin; and son Wayne. He is also survived by five brothers, Ernest (Elsa), William (Anne), Harold (Karen), Edward, Herbert (Marilyn); along with nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Alma in February 1994; his parents, Adolf and Natalie (Holtz) Springer; sister Winnifred (Baker). Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 20 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Grahamdale, MB, with Pastor G. Saar officiating. Interment to follow at Hope Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 19 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern, and one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon to follow the service at the Faulkner Hall. Pallbearers are his three sons, Alan, Donald, and Wayne, and his three grandsons, Alan Jr., Devin, and Joel.
