VIOLET MARY EDWARDS Peacefully on February 15, 2005 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre with her daughter at her side, Violet passed away at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Miller (Bill); son Ronald (Linda); grandchildren, Lisa (Paul), David and Debra; great-grandchildren, Alex and Ben; and her sister Frances. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Reginald in 1970; brothers, George, Charles, Earl and Daniel and sisters, Doris and Ella. Violet was born and raised in Stoughton, SK, moving to Winnipeg soon after her marriage to Reginald. She was employed by Pioneer Grain before retiring in 1979. Violet excelled at her many hobbies which included playing bridge, baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Her greatest love was for her grandchildren whose company she enjoyed immensely. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Kildonan Personal Care Centre, 1970 Henderson Hwy. Our family wishes to extend its thanks to the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their considerate care and kindness throughout a most difficult journey.
