GEORGE LLEWELLYN BEVAN After a brief illness at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 13, 2005, at the age of 71, George Bevan of Brechin, beloved husband of the late Beryl Bevan (nee Lewis). Loving and devoted father of John and wife Janet, Bill and wife Frances, Anne and husband Greg Jones. Dear Poppy of Nicole, Hannah, Emily, Michael, Jennifer and Christine. Dear brother-in-law of Valerie and husband Terry Housley and Eleanor and husband Eldon Williamson. George was the Chair of the Ramara Township Committee of Adjustment, the Chair of the Ramara Township Community Policing Committee and a member of the Orillia O.P.P. Adult Volunteer Program. The family received friends at the Doolittle-Carson Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, on Wednesday, February 16 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service was held from St. Paul's United Church, corner of Coldwater and Peter Streets, Orillia, ON, on Thursday afternoon, February 17 at 1:00 p.m. Spring interment, St. Andrew's St. James' Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to the Ramara Township Community Policing Committee in support of the youth safety awareness programs would be appreciated by the family.
