JORDYN ALEXA MARSHALL-STANCHUK Peacefully and joyfully on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, in the arms of her daddy and mommy, Jordyn Alexa received her Angel wings. Jordyn will be lovingly missed by her Daddy and Mommy, Dennis and Wendy, and her sister Sawyer. Also left to cherish her memory are grandparents, Richard and Freda and Gladys and Nick; sisters, Christa and Shelly, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jordyn was born on July 7, 1992 with Microcephaly. Although she was not supposed to survive birth, she gave us 12 awesome years. She touched the lives of everyone around her in a very positive way. Jordyn was a Grade 5 student at LaBarriere Crossings School. She was always so excited to go on the school bus and she loved her teachers and all of the children. Her greatest joy was music class. A celebration of Jordyn's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with Pastor Phil Kniesel officiating. Jordyn's casket will be open one hour before the service. Following the service, cremation will take place and friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a reception, also at Thomson In the Park. Jordyn's family wishes to thank Dr. Nigel MacDonald for all his wonderful care and support, Dr. Kesselman and the amazing nurses and staff in P.I.C.U. Children's Hospital, Grant and Ramona for being our pillar of strength, and all our wonderful friends and neighbours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Jordyn to the Children's Hospital Make a Wish Foundation or the Rehabilitation Centre for Children. JORDYN She sat in her wheelchair as happy as could be When I sat down beside her, she looked up and smiled at me I could see she was happy that I was there To have a friend that really cared. I talked to her for quite a while When all she did was watch and smile. She may not talk the way I do But with all her expressions, she didn't need to. When I looked at her, my heart was so full With love and compassion, how could anyone not know What a treasure she is, God sent her from above She's a precious angel, sent here to be loved. Jordy, our sweet Angel, you no longer need Daddy's arms to help you fly. THOMSON IN THE PARK Funeral Home and Cemetery 1291 McGillivray Blvd - 925-1120

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Wendy, Dennis and Sawyer: I had the privilege of caring for Jordy many times during her hospital stays until I moved to another province in 2002. I often think of her and of you. Her eyes sparkled so brightly and she always could find a smile and a giggle somewhere, no matter how sick she was. Her bright red braid was her trademark! I know you will miss her incredibly, and hope that all the wonderful memories you have will keep your hearts company. God bless. - Posted by: Jan Fortier, RN (Acquaintance) on: Feb 18, 2005
