EDWARD JAMES MCELROY On Tuesday, February 15, 2005, after a brief illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Edward at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 84 years. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his wife Teenie; parents; brother Joe; and sister Bertha. Edward was born in Winnipeg, MB, on March 15, 1920. He began his career with CNR - Via Rail and retired after forty-one years. For the last twenty-five years, his passion was golfing and all throughout his golfing days, he managed to get three holes in one. He also enjoyed many days spent at the race track. For over fifty years, Edward was a member of the Pine Ridge Country Club. A celebration of Edward's life will be held on Thursday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Governor's Room in the Viscount Gort Hotel, 1670 Portage Ave. A private family interment will follow at a later date. Our family wishes to thank the staff on 5E at the St. Boniface General Hospital for all their care and compassion.
