MARION ELIZABETH BARTH Peacefully on February 17, 2005 at Oakview Place, Winnipeg, Marion Elizabeth Barth passed away at the age of 89 years. Marion was born January 28, 1916, an only daughter of Charles and Jennie Lamont of Bagot. She is lovingly remembered by her three children: sons, Laurie (Edna), Glen (Linda) and daughter Georgina (Arch) Mullin; nine grandchildren, Darrell, Gordon (Alka) and Cloyd (Debbie) Barth, Cameron, Christopher and Scott Barth, Tracy (Cal) Kendall, Carrie (Dr. Micheil) Innes and Dean Mullin; six great-grandchildren, Reid and Jenna Kendall, Ashlen and Julien Barth and Aidan and Charlotte Innes, cousins, nieces and nephews. Marion grew up on her parents farm and attended Image Creek School. She married Arthur Barth and had three children. She worked very hard on the farm. In 1962 she left the farm, took a L.P.N. course and worked in the Eye Department of the Health Sciences Centre for several years. She returned to MacGregor to care for her parents. She remained in MacGregor and was very active in the MacGregor United Church, Hospital Aid, MacGregor Hall and other community groups. She loved her garden, flowers, travelling and her cat. She was especially proud to be named Citizen of the Year in 1986. She enjoyed the years she spent in MacGregor with good friends and neighbours. She moved to the Lion's Manor in MacGregor in 1997 and then to Oakview Place in 1998 to be close to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Our sincere thanks go out to all the staff at Oakview Place for their care and kindness, also to MacGregor Health Centre, Dr. Samuels and staff for their care. Funeral services will be held in MacGregor United Church on Monday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Marion to the MacGregor Health Centre or the MacGregor United Church, General Delivery, MacGregor, MB R0H 0R0. She never failed to do her best Her heart was true and tender She toiled hard for those she loved Then left them to remember. At mid morning when all was still God had His great command In silent peace she passed away Into a better land We love you Mom. Clarke's Funeral Services MacGregor, MB204-685-2012
