I am so sad to hear about the death of your dad and grandad. I have clear memories of conversations and interactions with him from my summer and fall at Luther Village that were valuable to me and I have carried with me throughout my life. I share in your sorrow and send you my sympathies. Dorcas - Posted by: Dorcas Kunkel (Friend) on: Feb 19, 2005

Dear Ruth, Lee, Neil, Lois, Eleanor and all: Alf served the church faithfully, with good humour; I remember arguing with him at LV about needing more crayons for the sugar shack. He asked was I letting the kids eat the crayons! Alf asked me when I was pastor in Bergland if, when the time came that his sister in Emo died, would I let him officiate.I appreciated his respect for me as pastor. No doubt there will be many good stories on Monday night! May God comfort you all, give you peace Lynn and Bob Granke Brett ( a friend of Katrina's from LV). - Posted by: Lynn Granke (Co-Worker) on: Feb 19, 2005
