MARLENE SCHARF (nee THOMAS) August 29, 1943 - February 17, 2005 With happiness for Marlene, we announce her passing of this world to be with our Lord in Heaven. Remaining behind to cherish the memories and miss her deeply are her husband Mel; her son Larry Olson and wife Kathy and grandchildren, Chris and Cara; her son Doug Scharf and wife Pam and grandchildren, Emma, Hally and Ethan; her best friend from childhood, Joan Hodgson. Her brothers and sisters, Larry Thomas (Pat), Rodney Thomas, Gail Kidd, Caroline Anderson (Steven) along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother and father Evelyn Graham and Dave Thomas, her brother Gary Thomas and stepfather Ernie Graham. Mom was a very dedicated and hard worker, when she was not tending the books for the family business, she would be tending her passion of flower and vegetable gardens or playing with her cats which she so dearly loved. She also looked forward to taking her granddaughters to Sunday school and the fellowship she enjoyed after service. Her many friends in the LaRiviere area will sadly miss seeing her smiling face. Funeral service will take place, Wednesday, February 23, at the LaRiviere United Church with Rev. Bev and Laurie Simpson presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boundry Trails Hospital (CancerCare Unit) or a charity of your choice. Graham's Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
