Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY PODOLCHUK December 16, 1928 - February 18, 2005 With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Harry, aged 76, after a courageous battle with cancer. Harry is survived by his wife Catherine of 49 years; his three children, Christine (Cameron), Karen (Allan) and Harold (Joanne); sister Pearly; brother Billy (Minnie). He was predeceased by his father Nick and mother Agnes. Harry was born December 16, 1928 and was raised in the Elma area. He came to the Whiteshell Provincial Park area with his father in 1947, building log cabins and later working with construction crews in Savant Lake. He returned to live in Falcon Lake in 1954 and worked as an Equipment Operator during the construction of the town site and golf course, finishing off his career as a Park Foreman in West Hawk Lake. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and snowmobiling. After his retirement, he especially loved working on his tractor. A job he completed that will be used by many, is the Trans-Canada Trail between Falcon and West Hawk. His family wishes to express their sincere thanks to CancerCare, Dr. C. Krahn and nurses, Lois, Maggie, Angie and Bev, Dr. R. Duval and the Falcon Lake EMS staff Scott and Theresa. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may donate to the Canadian Cancer Society. As per Harry's wishes, cremation has already taken place and a celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
