LILY EDITH SABESKI Peacefully with her daughter and son-in-law at her side in the early hours of the morning at the St. Boniface General Hospital on Friday, February 18, 2005, Lily went to her eternal resting place at the age of 90. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Joseph and Sarah Barnett on February 4, 1915. Predeceased by her husband Peter on February 3, 1990; brothers, Joseph, Jim and Harold; sisters, Nettie, Louise, Julia, Annie and Amy. Lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by her daughter Annette (Henry); grandchildren, Brent (Irina), David and Susan (Robert); and great-grandchildren, Nathan and Sarah, all of Vancouver and Delta, BC; her sister and best friend Emily; and a special thank you to her niece Maureen and nephew Stanley for always including her in their family gatherings and taking her on outings, as well as many nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews. Mom worked in the late 1960s at T. Eaton's in the mail order and Clark Gambles. A thank you to Dr. L. C. Bartlett for the many years that he cared for Mom. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's All Beliefs Faiths Funeral Chapel Crematorium, 2157 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y1.
