LAURA (LAURIE) MARGARET COMER (nee GRIFFIN) 1912 - 2005 On February 19, 2005 in the early hours, our beloved mother passed away peacefully at West Park Manor at the age of 92. Our mom is survived by her daughters, Jane Hafenbrak, Susan Munsters; and son John Comer; her precious grandsons, Vance (Karen) and Jon Munsters, Martin (Lisa) and Brett (Kristina) Hafenbrak; and her beautiful great-grandchildren, Chase Munsters and Tabitha Hafenbrak. She also leaves her brother George and family in British Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard, four brothers and two sisters. Laurie loved people and she was a social butterfly. Her quick wit and great sense of humour made her a welcome part of any social gathering. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family whether it be at home, West Hawk Lake or visiting with friends around town. We wish to thank the kind and caring staff at Arlington Haus, the Misericordia Hospital and West Park Manor for their wonderful care of our mother. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., followed by interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Martin Hafenbrak, Vance and Jon Munsters, John Comer, Ray McLeod and Bruce Purslow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. We love and miss you, Mum, Grandma and G.G. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
