KATHLEEN MARCELLA KATZBERG (nee BALL) The death of Kaye Katzberg, aged 85 years, occurred on Sunday, February 20, 2005 after an illness at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. Kay was the beloved wife of Henry Katzberg (1911-1987) and mother of Jack and his wife Paula of Regina and Kenneth Katzberg of Winnipeg; grandmother of Michael, John and Christopher and dear sister of Mrs. Mae (Ed) Allen of Swan River, Mrs. Eva Fortin of St. Rose and Mr. Raoul Ball of Brandon. Funeral service will be held in Donnelly United Church, 1226 Waller Ave., Fort Garry on Wednesday, February 23 at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Robert Johannson will officiate. A viewing will precede the service and interment will follow in Thomson In the Park Cemetery. Kaye was born at Grandview, MB on May 26, 1919. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in The Pas, MB in 1941. She married Henry on June 6, 1942 in Toronto. She continued nursing during the war years retiring to be a full time mother and housewife with the birth of Jack in 1945. In the late 50s she returned to nursing until she retired in 1977.
