DORIS ALEXANDRA HARRIS (nee ROBERTON) November 3, 1917 - February 20, 2005 Doris Harris passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Donwood Manor on Sunday, February 20, 2005. Doris was predeceased by her parents, John and Gertrude Roberton; her sisters, Gertrude, Lillian, and Marge; and her son Bruce. She leaves to mourn her husband Nicholas; her sons, George (Shirley), Jim, Fred (Marie), Paul (Marlene) and Ed (Tammy). She is lovingly remembered by her eight grandsons and two granddaughters, as well as her brother Bruce (Jean) and sister Roberta. Doris was born and raised in Winnipeg. After she married Nicholas in 1942 they moved north of Winnipeg where they ran a farm and raised six sons. Doris spent many enjoyable hours knitting, crocheting, and doing her needlework and has left many treasured memories. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff of Donwood Manor for their loving care and concern given to Doris. Doris requested a private family service which will be held following cremation. In lieu of flowers donations in Doris' memory may be made to Donwood Manor, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0V9.
