Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET JEANETTE MORRISON With her family by her side on February 19, 2005 at the Golden Links Lodge, Margaret peacefully passed away at the age of 96 years. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bob; her daughter Sandy Sims; her parents, John and Agnes Hunter; and sisters, Elsie and Ina. Mom will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her daughter Pat (Marvin Johnson); brother Gordon Hunter of Kelowna; son-in-law Dave Sims of Prince Albert; grandchildren, Jeff (Paula), Heather (Todd), Bonnie (Rob), Dave (Rene) of Prince Albert, Rob (Yumiko) of Japan; great-grandchildren, Myles, Ashlee, Jadon, Hannah, Riley, baby Holly Lynn, Audrey, William and many nieces and nephews. Mom's love of family was her greatest joy. Her Sunday dinners and endless boxes of cookies and baking will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends. We will always cherish her beautiful needle point work and her special afghans and other items she so skillfully and lovingly knit. Throughout the years, she enjoyed the company of her many pet dogs and later her budgies. After Mom retired in 1973 from the job she loved in the accounting department of the Seven Oaks School Division she continued to do volunteer work with the Red Cross, Shriners Hospital, Winnipeg School Division and the Lung Association until her 88th birthday. Mom enjoyed her many years at her beautiful cottage at West Hawk Lake that she and Dad built together. This legacy continues to hold a very special place in all our hearts. The family wishes to especially thank the staff at Golden Links Lodge for the care they gave to Mom during her stay. A celebration of Mom's life will be held at Kildonan Community Church, 2373 Main St., on February 23 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Phyllis Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-5 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
