ARTHUR WILLIAM LINGWOOD With sadness, we announce the passing of Art Lingwood of Ingolf, ON. Art was born in Winnipeg on July 5, 1912. He is survived by his daughter Bonnie (Noel) Brandt; and grandson Neil; sister-in-law Ruby Johnston of Lucerne, CA; brother-in-law Joe Koniaz of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jenny in 2000 after 54 years of marriage. Art served overseas for five years during the Second World War and returned to marry his soul mate, Jenny Neale of Ingolf. Art and Jenny operated the Ingolf Inn until their retirement in 1978. Art was well known for his visits with customers and his pleasure in seeing their families grow through the generations. His pride and joy was his grandson to whom he gave unconditional love and guidance. He was a member of the Ingolf Campers Assocation, the Winfal Seniors, the Cooks Creek Seniors and the Kenora Legion. His 50-year pin from the Legion was very special to him. Art was an avid curler and upon retirement, added gardening and woodworking to his hobbies until his loss of sight. Our family will always remember his courage and ready smile. We would like to thank all the friends and caregivers who made such a positive difference to Dad and to our family with their support and kindness. Thank you to Dr. Duval for his guidance and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 25 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow. LOVE AND MEMORIES In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Falcon Lake Ambulance Donations, Box 159, Falcon Lake, MB R0E 0N0.
