WILLIAM (BILL) NEGRICH It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of the light of our life, our brother, uncle, great-uncle, nephew and friend, Bill Negrich, on February 20, 2005. Bill was predeceased by his father William (1984); and his mother Mildred (2005). Bill is survived by his five sisters and their families, Sharon (Bernie) Jacob, Sandra (Gerald) Ogonoski, Donna (Ken) Huculak, Doreen Lozinski, Debbie (Dieter) Krieg; and brother Rick (Teresa) Negrich; and many nieces, nephews and great-nephews. Bill was born on February 28, 1961, in Winnipeg, MB. Bill was the sixth child born to Mildred and Bill Negrich. They were very delighted to finally see their first son! Life surely would be different now in a house full of girls. Bill was Mom and Dad's dream boy. He had blonde hair, brown eyes and an infectious smile. Little Billy could always be seen running around the homestead, climbing trees, exploring and taking everything apart that he touched. Bill provided never ending joy and entertainment for our family. He was very curious and had an amazing mechanical ability. This continued on as he aged. Nothing was safe in the yard from Bill's exploring hands and curious mind. As a child, Bill spent many hours fishing on the river with his little brother Rick and his friends from the area. Many summer days were spent on the river bank as Bill and the rest of the neighbourhood boys watched life unfold around them. Bill was a natural at hockey! He spent many hours playing hockey at East St. Paul Community Centre, in the back yard, on the river and on the neighbours' ice rink. Bill attended Dr. Hamilton, Robert Andrews and River East Collegiate. He definitely ensured that the teachers earned their money... Bill was a very hard worker. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his sisters and brother as they undertook various projects at their homes. He was like his Dad, always there to help someone who needed it. Bill was the first person that we called. Bill set his own path in life. He was not one to follow the path of least resistance. He blazed his own trail. Life was an open road to be enjoyed to the fullest, with no limits, and no regrets. Bill had many friends who were his friends for life. He was not just a brother but a friend to his family as well. We will miss him at summer parties, our annual pool party and all family get togethers. Although Bill's passing was very sudden, he would not want anyone to feel sad that his life was so short. He would prefer that you look up to the heavens and say, I'll see you later. Our beloved brother, uncle and friend is gone, but he will not be forgotten. We would like to thank Dr. Douglas Henry, Bill's nephew, for all the help that he provided in this very hard time. In addition, we would like to thank the staff at the airport who responded so quickly to assist Bill. Lastly, we would like to thank Dr. Wiebe, the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, and the palliative care staff at Riverview Hospital. You showed care and compassion to our family. Thank you very much. If anyone so desires, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Friday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
