FRED LAMOURE Suddenly, at his home, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Fred Lamoure, beloved brother and uncle, on February 19, 2005 in Vassar, MB. He was 75 years old. Fred is survived by his sister Louise (and Jim) Bass of Piney, MB, sister Marge Capon of Winnipeg, MB, and brother Ed Lamoure of Yellowknife, NWT; nieces and nephews, Debbie, Brian, Dwayne, Brenda, Arlene, Vernon and Alice; also, his dog Mollie and cat Lucky. Fred is predeceased by his father Alfred Lamoure and mother Mary Schenk. In his early years, Fred served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in Germany. He worked for many years in the bush in Southeastern Manitoba and as a heavy equipment operator in the north. The majority of his working life was spent driving a cement truck for Lafarge and then later in Buffalo Point. Fred was an avid snowmobiler in his younger days. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years. He always enjoyed having an OV(s) with his buddies. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25 at the Piney Community Church in Piney with Rev. Hermunson officiating. Fred's pallbearers will be Coni Anderson, Arlene Demare, Alice Bass, Richard Maslanka, Brian Capon and Mike Demare. Interment will take place following the service in Wampum Cemetery, Wampum, MB. Special thanks to Coni and Merle Anderson, Roy and Lillian Anderson, Michael Giesbrecht, Rev. Hermunson, Corporal Brad Anstead, South Eastman Regional EMS (Vita Ambulance Station), Jason Topnik and the ladies' at the Piney Hall who are serving lunch. Should friends so desire, donations in Fred's memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Our memories build a special bridge when loved ones have to part to help us feel we're with them still and sooth a grieving heart.
