SIMONE RACHEL SCHADE (Lapointe) April 8, 1923 - February 21, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Simone Schade after a short illness on Monday, February 21, 2005 at the Grace Hospital. Mom with her kind and tender ways will be lovingly missed by her sons, Don and Larry; daughter Cheryl; grandchildren, Ryan, Ainsley and Elyse and her sisters and brother, Flore, Priscilla, Irene, Veronica and Rene. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred on October 17, 1993. Simone had a passion for cooking and was a meticulous housekeeper. She loved to knit and crochet in her favourite rocking chair. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26 at 12:00 noon at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Fr. Peter Monty S.J. officiating, followed by a reception. The family sends special thanks to the 3rd floor staff at Misericordia Place Personal Care Home for their many years of loving care, as well as to care giver, Gerry Hayworth for the many years she cared for Mom.
