HENRY (HEINRICH) JANSEN 1914 - 2005 With sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, Hein, on Sunday, February 20, 2005, at the Concordia Hospital at age 90. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his devoted wife of 55 years, Hilli (Hildegard); brother John (Margaret); sisters, Margarete Braun, Elsie (Jacob) Wiebe, Irene (Henry) Dyck, Helen (Jack) Laverty, Malita Heinrichs; sisters-in-law, Ingeborg Bechem and Ille Bechem of Germany; and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Germany; as well as long-standing friends from Canada and the United States. Hein and Hilli immigrated to Winnipeg in 1953 from Germany, to join his mother and family. For many years Hein worked for Christie's Biscuits. His spare time was devoted to his love of painting and the outdoors, the subject of many of his art works. A favourite spot of his was at Willard Lake, ON, where he enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time in the company of good friends. Hein and Hilli also enjoyed travelling, particularly to Banff and the Rocky Mountains. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Concordia Hospital Foundation, 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8, or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 2nd Floor, 629 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
