Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH JOE CYRIL BROWN Peacefully in his sleep at the Health Sciences Centre, Joe Brown passed away on February 18, 2005. Joe is lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Rose; stepdaughter Delma Friesen (Bill); grandsons, Jaret and Christopher Friesen (Jennifer); great-grandson Evan; stepson Jim; his brothers, Ted, Arnot and Fred; special nieces, Elizabeth and Chris; and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Irene and his brother Roy. Dad cherished his family here and in Western Canada, and enjoyed many years of cottage life. He was very active, enjoying bowling, square dancing, bridge, poker and his legion friends. He was born on April 25, 1920 in Mold, Wales, coming to Canada at an early age. Joe was a 50-year member of the Masons and served overseas in the Air Force in the Second World War. He was employed by the City of Winnipeg for 40 years, retiring in 1984 as the manager of the Finance Department. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Masonic Memorial Temple, 420 Corydon Ave. Tea to follow.
