Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES JOHNSTON On Tuesday, February 23, 2005, Agnes passed away with her family at her side at Red River Place in Selkirk, MB. Agnes was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack Johnston and will be missed by her three children, Beverly (Lou Stokes), Tannis, and Bob (Margo); and grandchildren, Tawnye, Andrea, Jason, Ramona and Kris. She also has two great-grandchildren, Shenoah and Jaedyn. Agnes Scott was born at 260 Burrows Ave. on February 9, 1914. She married Jack on November 4, 1941. They lived most of their married life in St. Vital. Many of their early summers were spent at Gull Lake and Grand Beach with their young family and close friends. Agnes started her retail career at Cox's Millinery on Portage Avenue and continued a successful 26 years at the Bay in the Bridal Salon and Mirror Room. She had wonderful times helping many brides and their families prepare for their special day. After she retired, Agnes and Jack spent 13 fabulous winters in Mesa, AZ but always looked forward to coming home to family. She loved gardening and no matter where she was, she always had a beautiful garden to tend and we all learned from her green thumb . Agnes spent her last 5 years at Red River Place in Selkirk. The family would like to thank the staff for their kindness and loving care. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, with the Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Agnes' memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4GT or Red River Place, 133 Manchester Ave., Selkirk, MB, R1A 0B5.
