GORDON NORMAN BLANCHETTE On Tuesday, February 22, 2005, Gordon Norman Blanchette of Winnipeg, MB, passed away after a dignified battle with cancer at the age of 68 years. He will be remembered with love for his kind and gentle spirit, by his brother Albert (Irma); sister Norma Wilson (Terry); sisters-in-law, Maila and Marilyn; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Gordon was born in Thunder Bay, ON, on September 5, 1936, and was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Clarissa Blanchette; as well as his brothers, Eugene and Donald. A private family graveside service will be held in Thunder Bay, ON, and will be announced at a later date. Our family would like to thank all those who helped Gordon throughout his long illness, with special thanks to the staff on GB3 of the Health Sciences Centre and Unit 3E of the Riverview Health Centre. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
