RUDOLPH WIEBE (Flint) was the first born of Abram and Anna, who predeceased him in 1963 and 1998. Rudy was an older brother to 13 siblings. At the age of 61 Rudy died suddenly, painlessly, and peacefully on St. Valentines day at Glamorgan Care Centre in Calgary, AB. At five minutes before noon Rudy had just finished a cup of coffee, one of his great pleasures in life, when he suddenly closed his eyes and rested in God's eternal care. Rudy was an uncle to Tabetha, Bruce and Sydney; Quentin, Robin and Christian Braveheart; Nathan and Heather; Vincent, Jaunita, Cedric and Lavinia; David and Sharaya; Sean, Joshua and Laura; Amanda and Jackson; Mellisa and Jessica; Orion, Pollux, Castor and Cygnus. Even in a wheelchair and in poor health Rudy carried himself with a certain military air. He proudly recalled enlisting in the Canadian Forces as a young man. Rudy had a great and colourful collection of military books, and was particularly fascinated with the history of The Second World War. Rudy had a gentle spirit, and was slow to anger and swift to forgive. He was seldom irritated, and quick with a smile that was as broad as his heart. Rudy did not accumulate wealth or possessions. Instead, he hoarded the good will and love of family and friends. Rudy loved his hand rolled smokes and 7/11 coffee. And we 13 siblings loved our big brother, Anne, Susan, Irene, Abe, Clarence, Rosalind, LaVerna, Sharon, Ronald, Sylvia, Timothy, Mark and Kevin. Rest in God's eternal love, Soldier. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart And Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Rd. SE, Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6.
