DOROTHY VIOLA SAYER passed away peacefully on February 20, 2005, at the Concordia Hospital after a short illness, at the age of 96. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Albert; her parents William and Becca Trimble; her sisters, Ethel and Bertha; and her brother William. She is survived by her children, Ted (Pat) of Regina, Berta (Tom Danielson) of Grand Marais, MN, and Tom (Shirley) of Hudson, QC; also 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as special friends, Ada Swann and Gorma McDonald. Dorothy was born in Morden, MB, on October 21, 1908. She graduated from St. Boniface School of Nursing in 1930. She enjoyed travelling, watching curling and her special interest, quilting. It has been said that Those who sleep under a quilt, sleep under a blanket of love. Thanks to Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, our family will always sleep under a blanket of love. While she enjoyed many varied interests in her 96 years, the one that gave Dorothy the greatest joy and sense of fulfillment was her quilting. Each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many of her friends will always have a tangible memory of this wonderful lady in the pieces she so carefully composed into the beautiful quilts she created. At Dorothy's request, there will be no funeral service. Interment of ashes will take place at Morden at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam to the charity of their choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
