MELVYN DOUGLAS CROOK 1923 - 2005 Melvyn Douglas Crook passed away quietly at home in Calgary on February 21, 2005, at the age of 81 years. Mel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sarah; his daughter Victoria (Drag) Borkovich; his sons, Lawrence (Pam) and Stephen; grandchildren, Heidi (Tony) Rodrigues and Michael (Jeanine); and great-grandchildren, Dylan and Hannah. Mel was born in St. James, MB, on October 7, 1923. He worked in Winnipeg as a baker for 25 years, then moved to Calgary in 1969 and continued to work as a baker for Safeway and MacDonald's. Mel loved to work and always kept busy. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 1331-29 St. NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2. Cremation has taken place at Rocky View Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to PIERSON'S FUNERAL SERVICE, Calgary. Telephone (403) 235-3602.
