Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE TRESSEN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Tressen on Friday, February 11, 2005. She will join her husband Wally who passed on July 30, 2001. She is survived by niece Helen Mytko and family of Vancouver; grandnephew Brian Humniski of Winnipeg, his wife Denise and children, Karina and Jonathan; grandnephew David Humniski of Gimli, wife Jill and daughter Indiana; grandnephew Robert Mickoski of Winnipeg, his wife Adelle and son Scott; grandnephew Marty Mickoski of Winnipeg and grandniece Jo-ann Humniski of Ottawa. She is also survived by the nieces and nephews of her husband and their children and grandchildren across North America. She will be remembered by many as a intelligent, kind, caring and beautiful person. Aunty Anne was born on November 15, 1915 to Harry and Lena Miska in the town of Brandon in Manitoba. Upon completion of business college she moved to Winnipeg where she met and married her husband Wally. Following the Second World War, Anne and Wally moved to Detroit to operate a children's clothing store. In 1960 they moved to Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands to open the first car rental agency on the island for the Avis company. The business expanded to also include an automobile dealership and a service station. On retirement, the Tressen's retired to their home on the Wachalacoohcie River in Inglis, Florida. After Wally's passing Anne moved to Crystal River where she enjoyed the community, her many friends, and its proximity to Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club where she shared a round of golf and many good times with the members. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5 at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. at 9:30 a.m. Interment at All Saints Cemetery and a reception will follow.
