Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Leanore (Lee) Marion (George) and Dawn Bourroughs (Lionel); grandchildren, Kathy (Francis), Dawn (Brad), Lori (Mike), Lana and Chad; step-grandchildren, Daniel and Michelle; sisters-in-law, Jean, Nan, Lillian and Alice; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cora was predeceased by her husband Don in 1997; parents, Maude and Walter Lytle; brother Roy Lytle and brothers-in-law, Fred, Jim and Don; and sisters-in-law, Flora and Jan. Mom was born in Roland, Manitoba and as a young woman moved to Winnipeg, where she started her first job at Zellers. She enjoyed working in sales and after raising her family, she returned to work at Fairweathers for many years. Mom loved sports, both as a participant and a spectator. When she lived at Meadowood Manor everyone enjoyed watching her lawn bowling antics. She had such a great sense of humour. A celebration of Cora's life will be held on Monday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Meadowood Manor Chapel, 577 St. Anne's Road. Parking is available across the street at the St. Vital Arena. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cora's memory may be made to the Meadowood Manor Chapel Project, 577 St. Anne's Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 5B2 or to a charity of one's choice. We may be far away, but are close in spirit. Grandma, I can still remember the last time I kissed your soft cheek and hugged your frail frame - it will have to last forever now. As kids, we took comfort in the routine of 'Grandma's', walking to Grant Park to do the shopping, sugary tea and biscuits, humbugs and peppermints, carrots from the garden, mothballs in the cedar chest, and Hockey Night in Canada! Grandma Voss you live on in our hearts and stories! Love from Kathy (Grand daughter), and Aidan and Dylan(great-grandsons). Perth, Australia - Posted by: Kathy Bel-Bachir (Family) on: Feb 27, 2005
