FRITZ KURT SCHUMANN July 5, 1912 - February 24, 2005 Quietly, on Thursday, February 24, 2005, Fritz Kurt Schumann left us to be with his beloved Jenny. Fritz Schumann was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He was born in Kleinreinsdorf, Germany and married Jenny Erni Hess in August 1937. It was the start of a long, beautiful marriage. In his lifetime he was a truck driver, a forest ranger, a carpenter. He was a man who took great joy and laughter in the antics of the family's children. He was quiet and strong. He smiled not only with his lips, but also his eyes. He will be sorely missed by his two daughters, Hannalore and Gisela; and his small clan of grandchildren, Siegfried (Lynn), Andreas (Linda) and Michael (Sandy); great-grandchildren, Terry, Sandy (Goran), Sean, Kieran and Aleksander; and great-great-grandchildren, Samantha, Nicole, Juliana, Stephanie and Amy. His friends, as well as his niece Monica, who still resides in Germany, will miss him. Our sorrow will, in time, fade; but our memories of him will stay. We will miss you. A service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway Ave. We would like to thank the staff of the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre.
