Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVANGELINA VINLUAN-ALBERTO May 31, 1943 - February 24, 2005 A very sweet and loving daughter, sister, wife, auntie and friend... She was born and raised in Colibangbang, Paniqui, Tarlac in the Philippines, by two very loving parents and in a community of faith. She took up her calling as a teacher, teaching in elementary schools in the province of Tarlac after she graduated from college at Dr. Nicanor Reyes Memorial College. In 1972, she followed our brother and his wife Gimena and a growing number of our compatriots, coming to Canada and settled here in Winnipeg. Here, out of desire to be of better service, she went back to college, taking up nursing at Red River College. Following her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse, she plunged into her new found career. She served on the staff of the former Municipal Hospital (now Riverview Health Centre), St. Boniface Hospital and also at the Central Park Lodges. She and Romeo Alberto were married in 1990. He predeceased her in 1997. Evangelina is survived by four brothers, Vivencio, Rolando, Artemio and Victorio; sisters-in-law, Gerda, Gimena and Luz; nine nephews, one niece, two nieces-in-law, three grandnieces and numerous loving and caring relatives and friends in Winnipeg, in the Philippines and in the United States. There will be a viewing on Sunday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m, service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Interment will follow in the Cemetery. My sincere condolences to Vangie's family and loved ones. Vangie was one of the most wonderful and kind person I have ever had the priviledge of knowing and I shall miss her greatly.
