ALICE NASKAR (nee LANG) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alice Naskar on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Riverview Health Centre. Alice will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her son Dan (Dana); daughters, Pat (Barry) and Monica (Dave); grandchildren, Tracey (Jim), Kim (Harry), Chris (Tim), Jodi, Naomi (Darren), Joe (Dave), Lisa (Marty), Laurie (Chris) and Leslie (Beau); great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kirsten, Simon, Jennine and Sam; longtime companion Rudy Bergeron; sister Stella; brothers, Ben (Susie), Walter, Ted (Delphine) and Peter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband Joe; brothers, Bill, Alec and Dan; sisters-in-law, Alice, Rose and Mary. Baba was happiest when surrounded by family. She loved spending time reading, playing cards, bingo and keno. She had such a vibrance and passion for life. Her quick wit and unique sense of humour made her one-of-a-kind. Our family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and Until 3E of Riverview Health Centre for their kindness during this difficult time. God saw you getting tired, He wrapped you in his loving arms And whispered Come with me . You suffered much in silence, Your spirit didn't bend. You faced your pain with courage, Until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us, Your fight was all in vain, God took you in his loving arms, And freed you from your pain. A golden heart stopped beating, Two gentle hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. We love you and know that you have taken your rightful place as an Angel in Heaven. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca.
