FRED KORPESHO Peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2005, Fred Korpesho, aged 92, passed away at the Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Teenie, on December 1, 2004; and also predeceased by his mother Annie and father John; brothers, George, John, Peter, Mike; and sister Kay. He leaves to cherish in his memory, daughters, Rose and John Meda, Diana and Rene Rocher and Evelyn Wilchuk; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and his sister Mary Folta. Fred was raised in the Hamerlik area where he farmed until October 1960. Then he moved his family to Winnipeg. Fred worked for the City of Winnipeg, Parks Department until his retirement. He was happiest surrounded by his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping as well as travelling and playing cards. Fred spent the last year and a half at Vita Personal Care Home. The family would like to thank the staff for their care. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4 at 1:00 p.m. from Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB in the name of Fred Korpesho.
