WILFRED S. JEFFRIES Peacefully on March 1, 2005 at the age of 66, Wilf Jeffries passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Wilf is survived by his wife Carole, of 41 years; mother Ray; brother Ken; children, Mark and Paula; daughter-in-law Elvira and grandchildren, Kayla, Christopher and Corey. Wilf was predeceased by his father Phil Jeffries in 1989. Wilf was born on April 22, 1938 in Winnipeg where he lived his entire life. Many happy times were spent with his family and friends. From an early age he enjoyed curling with his father and brother, and later his son at the Maple Leaf Curling Club and continued to do so until 2003. Wilf also played golf as a young person, and enjoyed playing on many courses in Winnipeg and later became a member of the Glendale Golf and Country Club. Wilf graduated as a Chartered Accountant in 1964 and worked for the Federal Government, then moved to the Provincial Government and Red River Community College. He joined the family business, Central Dental Supply Co. Ltd., in 1974, where he worked with his parents, brother and later his son until he became too ill in November 2004. Wilf was loved and will be very much missed by his entire family, friends and colleagues. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 3 at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue.
