ISOBEL MARGARET GYSELINCK It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Isobel Gyselinck on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital. Devastated by this loss is her husband Gene of 59 years; sons, Paul (Barb) and David; grandchildren, Kirk (Jiness), Joanna (John) and Joel (Tammy); and great-grandchildren, Maddie, Emma, Clayton, Kayla and Devon. She will also be sadly missed by brother Ray (Cynthia) Curtis of Hayden Lake, ID; sisters, Violet Curtis of Phoenix and Emily Poppenk of Burlington, ON; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Grace) Gyselinck, Dan (Julie) Gyselinck, Linda Gyselinck; many nephews and nieces and wonderful neighbours in St. Germaine. She will also be missed by her dog Bear, who travelled with her on many walks to the back of the property over the past few years. Isobel was predeceased by her parents, Byron and Margaret Curtis; along with her sister Verna Berg; and brother Theodore. Isobel was born on December 15, 1923 and grew up in St. Vital on Berrydale Street in a large and loving home. Her love of horses eventually led to the meeting and marrying of Gene Gyselinck on November 30, 1945. They lived on St. Mary's Road all their married life, taking joy in raising their two sons among horses, cats and dogs. In earlier years, they were very involved in showing horses locally with the boys and enjoyed many years of friendship with pals from the Horseshoe Riding Club. In later years they enjoyed a number of trips to visit family in the United States and regular visits to the Crookston, MN quarter horse shows. Isobel loved going to garage sales and was also a super shopper, no bargain could escape her keen eye. Family was of utmost importance to Isobel and nothing made her happier than having all the gang over for a Sunday afternoon of visiting, barbecuing and enjoying all the antics of her active family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren could do no wrong and brought her many hours of happiness. Her grandson Kirk is eternally grateful for all the great weekends he spent with his grandma and granddad as a child. She enjoyed the short period of time when her grandson Joel lived with them and always wished he had lived closer to Winnipeg. Isobel taught us the meaning of unconditional love. We all miss and remember her wonderful Saskatoon pies, keen wit, devotion to Gene and generous nature. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her family. At Isobel's request there will be no formal service. I know how much you love me as much as I love you. And each time you think of me I know you'll miss me too. So when tomorrow starts without me don't think we're far apart. For every time your think of me I'm right here in your heart. - unknown Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
