Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETIENNE (STEVE) PLOUFFE September 27, 1911 - February 28, 2005 Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, Steve passed away at the age of 93. He is survived by Margaret, his wife of 73 years; daughters, Eleanore (Kelly), Dorothy (Gary), Roberta (Jim); sons Wayne (Peggy) and Steve; grandchildren, Norma, Darla, Linda, Marie, Diana, Brenda, Anne, Karen, Randy, Geoff, Danny, Stacy, Nicole and Max. There are 28 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Also survived by sister Hortense Marie Masters. Predeceased by daughter Blanche, son Robert and grandchildren Kelly and Jamie, sisters Mary, Edna, brothers John and Omer. Steve was born in Fort Garry and spent his entire life in the area. He was employed at the C.N.R. as a young man. He was Kleyson Transports first truck driver and then branched out on his own to become The Water Man in Fort Garry, Fort Whyte and surrounding areas until retirement. Steve loved the races, bowling, curling, playing cards and bingo, but above all else loved to be with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends in Winnipeg and in particular members of Legion #90. The family would like to say Thank You to Father Pat Morand. Grateful Thanks to Dr. S. Permack and Sandy, the nurses and staff of the 3rd floor Victoria Hospital with a special Thank You to Paul who went above and beyond. Thank You Dad, Bib, Grandpa, Papa, for always being there for us. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the St. Vital R.C. Church on Friday, March 4 at 11:00 a.m. Father Pat Morand officiating. All in attendance may consider themselves Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Victoria Hospital.
