Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL BASS It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Pearl Bass on March 1, 2005 at Fred Douglas Lodge. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Ann; son Andrew; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Roman; infant daughter Jennie; two sisters Mary and Anne; brother John and son-in-law Tony. Mom was born January 1, 1909 in Celo Dmuchawec Kozluv, Poland. She came to Canada in 1928 and married Roman. They farmed in the Melnice district for 40 years. After her husband's passing she worked for a doctor and dentist for a few years before moving her house to Teulon, MB where she lived for 25 years. In 1998 Mom moved to Winnipeg and in 2003 became a resident at Fred Douglas Lodge. She had a full, enjoyable life in Teulon and made many friends. Mom was an Honorary Life member in the Senior Citizens Club. Her many interests included: quilting, knitting, bowling and gardening. Mom spent many hours nurturing the beautiful flowers in her yard. Generous and giving to a fault, she was devoted to her family and always looked forward to family get-togethers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their care and dedication. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hazel Avenue, Winnipeg Beach. Interment to follow in St. William's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her son and grandchildren. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
