JOHN CAMERON SHEARER In deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of our cherished Husband, Father and Grandpa, John Shearer, on March 1, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 68 years, after a lengthy battle with cancer. John was born in Saskatchewan, November 1, 1936 to Cameron and Christina Shearer. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Yolande; daughters, Tina (Jim), Barb (Ric), Lorie (Ken), Lydia (Roger), Bernadette (Roger) and son Shawn (Jen); his grandchildren, Tanya (Kevin), Tracy, Pamela, Terrie-Lynn, Ryan, Raymond, Shane, Butch James (Patricia), Devin, Jonathan, Mark, Kara-Dawn, Randy, Kurtis, Sarah, Alex, Kayla, Faith, Conner and Brian and his great-grandchildren, Bailey, Latral, Leandre; his sisters, Lily (Merv), Ruby (Jack) and Agnes (Laurie), all of Alberta and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first born son, Brian Cameron and his parents, Cameron and Christina. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 425 Rosseau Ave. East with Fr. Jerry officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Dufault, Alfred Hart, Ray Paulson, Wayne Wallaker, Ken Antochiw, Doug Cranstone and Eugene Picklyk. If friends so wish, donations in John's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO Cancer is so limited... It cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It cannot corrode faith, It cannot destroy peace, It cannot kill friendship, It cannot suppress memories, It cannot silence courage, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot steal eternal life, It cannot conquer the Spirit.
