Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMOLLIE WILLARD April 26, 1933 - February 27, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mollie Willard on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at her home in Winnipeg, MB. Mollie was born April 26, 1933 in Dryden, ON where she attended public and high school. She nursed in Ontario for many years before moving to Winnipeg in 1970 to continue her nursing career until retirement. Mollie loved to travel and enjoyed spending time at her camp in Lac Du Bonnet. She also looked forward to her trips home to Dryden to spend holidays and special occasions with her family. Mollie was a loving, caring aunt, with a great sense of humour. She had many friends whom she enjoyed corresponding with and spending time with. Mollie was predeceased by her father Frank Willard in 1989. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her mother Sybil Willard; sister Myrna (Joe) Marion; and her nieces and nephews, Cecille (Tom) Boughner, Dave (Deana) Marion, Doug (Frances) Marion, Jeff (Lucille) Marion, Liz (Bill) Lundstrom, Yvonne (Wayne) Kerr, Mollie (Robert) Kamm, Carol (Bob) Gardam. She will also be missed by her 21 great-nieces and nephews and her one great-great-niece; her Aunt Ethel Podd, Uncle Eric (Marg) Sideen; cousins, Diane (Roy) Frost, Gail (Ben) Karman, Norma (Rick) Hill, Darlene (Allen) Priscott and their families; as well as other relatives in England. In carrying out Mollie's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date. In her memory and if friends so desire, donations can be made to The United Way or a charity of your choice through Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3K 1W3 or through Stevens Funeral Homes Moffat Chapel , P.O. Box 412, Dryden, ON P8N 2Z1. The family would like to thank her close friends for their help, friendship and support - especially these past few months. She will be missed by many.

Mollie; Was a regular Didactic presenter for my Clinical Pastoral Education Program at the Vic. In 1974, she actually audited my Chaplain Education Program and provided direct spiritual care to patients, their families and our staff. I never met any of her family, but I just learned, today, of her passing. She was a passionate friend of God and lived that passion out in the ways she cared for others. Sorry for the belated, note, I am sure you left this world a whole lot better than when you entered it. Thanks for caring and supporting me and the Chaplains who trained at the Vic. Blessings. Rev. In my days as a young nurse I saw Mollie Willard in action as an active participant in the annual nursing convention (Manitoba Association of RN’s). She was articulate and passionate, a leader in our profession, and fun-loving. Years later I had the privilege of working with her as a colleague and I saw first hand how much love she gave to patients, their families, and her fellow nurses. I have never forgotten Mollie and have often hoped that she was enjoying a happy retirement. I’m sorry to learn of her death. My condolences to her family.
