Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) OMNITSKY On February 10, 2005 William Omnitsky passed away peacefully at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vera; his daughters Marilyn Levant (Milton) and Shirley Brown (Larry); grandchildren Carla Corder (Rick), Kori Kagan (Jamie), Shane Brown (Sheryl), Rachel Brown and great grandchildren Hannah Corder and Dylan Kagan. Surviving siblings are Al Omson and Freda Gillman. Bill was predeceased by his parents Louis and Sara and siblings Bella Stoller, Sam Omson and Jack Omson. Bill was born in Winnipeg in 1917 of Russian immigrants. He owned and operated L. Omitsky Sons Kosher Meat Market, starting out with his father, until his retirement. Bill was a good man, an honest man. His employees respected him and his customers adored him. His life was filled with joy, family and friends. He was a member of the General Monash Legion. We thank them for the Honor Guard. Bill and Vera spent their holidays in Hawaii, Mexico, San Diego and Florida. They had a condo in Margate, Florida where they spent their winters until their health and Bill's macular degeneration kept them from travelling. Funeral services were held from the Kanee Centre of the Sharon Home on February 13, officiated by Rabbi Neil Rose with grandson Shane Brown delivering the eulogy. Pallbearers were Shane Brown, Jamie Kagan, Larry Brown, Milt Levant, Arnie and Harvey Peltz. A very special thank you to Mae Bukowski and staff of the Sharon Home. Rest in Peace We will miss you
