Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS SHENDROSKI Peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, Nick, aged 88 years, passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Left to cherish Nick's loving memory are his sons, Fred (Donna), Ken (Pat); grandchildren, Adam, Heather, Allison, Daniel, Andrew, Ally; special friend Stella; sisters, Violet Bargenda, Mary Ilasewich; sister-in-law Sophie Shendroski; and numerous relatives. Nick was predeceased by wife Marie; parents Adolf and Eleanor; brothers, Joe, Mac, Frank, Julian, Walter; sisters-in-law, Vera, Dora, Frances, Patsy; brothers-in-law, Bill Ilasewich and John Bargenda. Nick was born on December 19, 1916. He worked on the family farm until his marriage in 1951. After years of working in the bush camps and seasonal jobs, in 1954 he became employed at the Pineland Forest Nursery. He retired in 1981 and had many fond memories of working at the nursery. He served as President of the Hadashville Ukrainian Catholic Church and oversaw the reconstruction of the church. He was instrumental in the formation of the Cemetery Fund. He also took part in the formation and construction of the old Hadashville Hall. He was a member of the Hadashville Ukrainian Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the Reynolds Seniors Club and a member of the Whitemouth Seniors Club. He was always willing to lend a hand for any church or community event. He loved to tinker around building something... and he loved gardening. Prayers will be said on Monday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., Winnipeg. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Parish of Ascension of our Lord in Hadashville. Interment will follow at the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam, Daniel, Andrew, David Shandroski, Donnie Shendroski and Wayne Slobodian. Donations may be made to the Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery Fund in Hadashville.
