DAVID KINGDON Peacefully at home on March 2, 2005, with his wife by his side, David passed away after a brave battle with cancer. David was born on June 16, 1956 in Basswood, MB and was raised and farmed with his family. In 1995 David left the farming and began a career in the trucking industry, working for such companies as D D Livestock, Roberge Transport and then for R L Transport until his illness made him stop. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shelly; his stepson Cameron; his sons, Dylan and Christopher. He also leaves his parents, Joan and Charlie; brothers, Gord (Wanda), Michael (Katherine), Glenn (Lisa), Ken (Rae), Tim (Tracy) and his sister Barb. David leaves many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We want to thank Dr. Maksymiuk, Dr. Leylek, nurse Rachel, Pam Johnson, Dr. Daeninck, the palliative care nurses especially Mariett for taking excellent care of David during his illness. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Crestview United Church, 316 Hamilton Ave., Winnipeg. Honorary pallbearers, Larry Scott, Tom Stewart, Terry Mills, Neil McCausland, Dennis Temoshawsky, Larry Cardy, Murray Haywood. Donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
