ANNE DAVIS (Bogdonov), aged 90 years, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2005. She leaves to mourn her two sisters, Edna Shuster and Zelda Cohen, children Jerry (Darlene) and Ethel Gilmore (Bob), grandchildren Marci, Myles, Marlene and Debbie, great-grandchildren, Cheri and Amanda and great-great-granddaughter Katelynn. She was predeceased by her parents, Frima and Jacob, her husband of 64 years, Cecil, as well as her four brothers and one sister. Anne was born in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. In her early childhood, her family moved to Winnipeg's North End, where she married and raised her family. Her community involvement included being instrumental in the organization of the I.L. Peretz School P.T.A., serving as president of the Mount Carmel Clinic, as well as holding a lifetime membership in Queen Esther Chapter of Hadassah Wizo. She was an active member of Harmony Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and the Rosh Pina Sisterhood. Yiddishkeit and family were very important parts of her life. Her smile and laugh personified her throughout her life to the very end. She was always Cecil's Hoodle . Together, they enjoyed their travels, which included two trips to Israel and winters spent in Palm Springs and other warm destinations. Funeral Services were held Monday, February 28 at Congregation Etz Chayim. Pallbearers were Myles Davis, Neil Cohen, Bob Feldman, Dr. David Meyrowitz, Dr. Phil Baker and Bert Shaffer. Honorary pallbearer was Paul Solomon. Contributions can be made in her memory to Congregation Etz Chayim at 589-6305.
