ARNOLD HEGGEN April 8, 1932 - March 5, 2005 On Saturday, March 5, Arni passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Arni will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 48 years, Lucille. He is survived by his daughter Kathy and her husband Don Courtney; his son David of Montreal; and his son Bob of Toronto. He was the very proud grandfather of Chris and Andrew Courtney. He also leaves his sister Ruth (Wally) Melnyk and family, and lifelong friend Pat Stewart and family. Arni was predeceased by his son John and his parents, Martin and Marie Heggen. Arni was born in Winnipeg and joined Trans Canada Airlines in 1950. He and his family lived in Montreal until after his retirement in 1985, then returned to Winnipeg. Arni was an enthusiastic angler, bowler, golfer, curler, and card player, and he loved to spend time on Lake of the Woods with family and friends. Arni's family would like to thank the nurses and the health care workers at the Grace Hospital, 4 South, for their kindness to Arni during his illness. Cremation has taken place and at Arni's request there will be a private family gathering. Flowers are gratefully declined, instead donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
