JOHN SCHNERCH It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on March 5, 2005 at the age of 80 years at the Gimli Community Health Centre. John will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Jean; his children, Elaine (Barry) Johannesson, Don (Janet) Schnerch, Joan Styck (Dennis Cameron); grandchildren, Keith (Amanda) Johannesson, Kris (Stormy) Johannesson, Jody (Kevin) Johnson, Edward Schnerch, Andrew (Sandi) Schnerch, Sharon Schnerch, Robert and Justin Styck; stepgrandchildren, Tracey and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Wayde, Kassie, Troy, Thorrin, Kiorra, Ostyn and Tyler; stepgreat-grandchild Ariana; brothers, Stan (Rose), Art (Sabina), Alfred (Laura); sisters, Katie Hurak, Anne Pytel, Eva Bobrowich, Mary (Adam) Keryluk, Florence Reimer, Jose (Jerome) Marks; sister-in-law Jessie Schnerch; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary; brothers, Adam and Joe; sister-in-law Jean Schnerch; brothers-in-law, Tony Bobrowich, Joe Hurak, Egnas Pytel and Ernest Reimer. John was born in Berlo on January 27, 1925. He married Jean Schnerch on October 31, 1951 and together they settled in the Arnes area. As per John's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service held. A graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Wiesenthal and staff at the Gimli Hospital for their kindness and support. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
