BETTY EVELYN BORTON (CLIFFORD)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY EVELYN BORTON (nee CLIFFORD) late of Regina, SK, born March 9, 1927 in Teulon, MB, passed away peacefully in her sleep just a few days before her 78th birthday. Betty is survived by her son Gary (Hilary); and her three beloved grandchildren, Jennifer in Winnipeg, Amelia in Ottawa and Timothy in Edmonton; and her sister Nelda Carey of Stonewall, MB; and many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Leslie Francis; three sisters, Pearl, Winona and Lilah; and four brothers, Lloyd, Alvin, Lester and Howard, all of Manitoba. After a busy working life in Regina, Les and Betty retired to Echo Lake in 1978. After Les's passing in 1989, Betty returned to Regina, where she kept busy with her volunteering, her bridge tournaments and entertaining with her many close friends. Her grandchildren were a big part of her life, and they and all her family and friends will dearly miss her. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Donations in Betty's memory can be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 1A5. Condolences to the family may be emailed to reception@speersfuneralchapel.com.
