PILAR GABRIEL October 12, 1930 - March 7, 2005 Unexpectedly at her residence, Pilar Gabriel passed away at the age of 74. Pilar will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Lorenzo and her children, Fenella, Loralyn, Clarissa, Joan and Larch (Ruby); her precious grandchildren, Aaron and Danae. Pilar is also survived by her brother, Capt. Cresencio Sarmiento of New York; her sisters, Yolanda (Pablo) Pagtakhan of the Philippines, Cely (Willy) Advincula of the Philippines; brothers-in-law, Arsenio (Conchita) Gabriel, Alberto (Flor) Gabriel, Freddie (Nora) Gabriel; sisters-in-law, Corazon (Fermin) Ramos, Marieta (Angel) Tomas, Adoracion (Deme) Vasquez, Carmelita (Efren) Ladines, numerous nieces and nephews in the Philippines, United States and Canada, Danny (Leoni) Ferrer of London, England; her loyal and trusted friends from childhood, Terry Jobo, Pacing Sta. Barbara and Dr. Obdulia Jose of the Philippines, especially HER LOVING BEST FRIEND, MRS. CENONA BASA of the Philippines. Mrs. Gabriel is well known in the Filipino community for her religious devotion and involvement with special note in founding the LADY OF FATIMA ROSARY CRUSADE, Gabriel Family for the last 10 years. Pilar will be best remembered as a true friend to all who knew her, for her caring, understanding and compassionate nature. Viewing will take place on Thursday, March 10 from 6:00 p.m. till midnight with prayers at 7:30 p.m. officiated by Fr. Dado and on Friday, March 11 also from 6:00 p.m. till midnight with prayers at 9:00 p.m. by the Cenacle Prayer Group Members. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Parish, 355 Andrews with interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens and reception to follow.
