Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY (MAMIE) KWIATKOSKI, aged 73 years of Selkirk, MB, formerly of East Selkirk, MB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at her residence. Mamie was born March 28, 1931 at the Selkirk General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Josephine (Jessie) Witwicki. Mamie went to Happy Thought School with her brothers, Stanley, Richard, Melvin; and sister Julia. Mamie met and married Stanley Kwiatkoski, and moved to Taunton, MN. While she was living in Minnesota, she had the first two of her three children, Mark and Chris. In 1963, Stanley, Mamie and their sons moved back to Manitoba. While living in East Selkirk, Mamie had one more son, Craig. Mamie put her family and children before herself and was there to raise all of her sons until they were on their own. Mamie was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She loved family get togethers and being surrounded by those she loved. Mamie is survived by her sister Julia Cooper of Selkirk; her children, Mark (Donna) Kwiatkoski of Grand Forks, ND, Craig (Teresa) Kwiatkoski, of Selkirk; daughter-in-law Keri Kwiatkoski of Selkirk; grandchildren, Jesse, Ainslie, Zachary, Micah, Chad, Megan and Tabitha; and great-granddaughter Skyler. She was predeceased by her parents, Marion and Jessie; her brothers, Stanley, Richard and Melvin; her husband Stanley and her son Chris. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk with Father Jerry Talarski officiating. Interment will follow in the East Selkirk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mamie's name can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
