CASSIE OSTROV (TREGEBOV)

CASSIE OSTROV (nee TREGEBOV) passed away at 84 years of age on March 6, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. She is survived by her loving husband Lou; daughters, Lois (Fred), Susan (David) and Shelley (Ernie); her grandchildren, Kim (Ted), Myles (Naomi), Merrill, Zoe (Steve), Avery, Whitney; great-grandchildren, Joe, Jonathon and Rosemary, and extended family. Cassie grew up in Winnipeg and graduated from St. Johns High School. She lived through the years of the great depression and dark clouds of the Second World War. With Lou, her husband of 63 years, she raised three wonderful daughters whose lives have reflected her values of love, hard work and commitment to family. She spent 20 years working at the Childrens Hospital. Family was of utmost important to Cassie and her love was generous and bountiful. She was a great Blue Jays baseball fan and sadly will miss this year's spring training. Her memory, loving spirit and laughter will endure. The family would like to thank all the hospital staff at Seven Oaks and Health Sciences Centre for their devoted care and compassion. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made in Cassie's memory to a charity of your choice.
