Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMIKE SEMENIUK Peacefully on Thursday March 3, 2005 Mike Semeniuk passed away at Concordia Hospital. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Eva in March 2005 and by his sisters, Stella, Mary, Anne, Ollie; and brother John. He is survived by his sister Betty of Gonor, MB; brother Nick (Jean) of Livonia, MI; sisters-in-law, Mary and Teena of Vancouver, BC and many nieces and nephews. Mike was born in , MB on May 15, 1919 and was raised on the family farm. Mike was a skilled carpenter who took great pride in his work. For over 40 years, he lived in the lovely home in North Kildonan which he had personally built. Mike could always be relied upon to lend a hand with construction projects, large and small. Many family members have fine examples of his handiwork in their homes. Uncle Mike an Auntie Eva are fondly remembered by their many nieces and nephews. They took great pleasure in their home and garden and were always happy to welcome family and friends. In retirement, they were able to travel to many new places. Mike remained in his home for several years after Eva's death. For the past year, he resided at the Rosewood Village, where he made many new friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Viewing one-half hour prior to the service. Special thanks to his niece, Marlene McDonald for looking after Mike over the past several years. Thanks also to his dear friend and neighbour, Bill Gourluck for all his help. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
