Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARENCE DAVID JOHN TROOP Peacefully, on Saturday, March 5, 2005, at his residence, Clarence David John Troop, of Burnside, MB, beloved husband of Judy Troop passed away at the age of 79 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Thursday, March 10 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Margaret Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Burnside Cemetery. Predeceased by his son Wayne; granddaughter Jennifer; sister Loreen; he leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 56 years Judy; his daughter Marlene; sons, Terry, Barrie (Holly); daughter-in-law Illona Funk (Ralph); grandchildren, Mitch, Dan, Nicole and Kevin. Also surviving is one sister Gladys Dickison; brothers-in-law, Eldon, Clare (Cathy), Don (Molly) and their families. Clarence was born on January 3, 1926 on the family farm at Burnside, MB. Other than serving a short time in the army, Clarence spent his entire life on the family farm. As a young farmer, Clarence showed Percheron horses with his father at the local fairs. He enjoyed playing ball with the Buckleys team in the Linament League. He was an avid curler for a number of years, and a Past President of the Portage Curling Club. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the ANAF, Portage, and the Canadian Order of Foresters. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
