GERARD PAUL GOBEIL Peacefully, on March 8, 2005, at Saint-Boniface Hospital, Gerard Gobeil, beloved husband of Carole Gobeil (nee Robert), passed away into the hands of the Lord with his family at his side. He was born in South Junction, MB on February 4, 1945. Gerard will be sadly missed by his wife Carole; his daughter Elaine; his son-in-law Derrick; his grandchildren Tyler and Ryan; his son Julien (friend Jen and son Jonathan); his brothers, Denis (Annette); Gabriel (Marguerite); Augustin (Louise); Lionel (Huguette); Andre (Sandra); Raymond (friend Velma); Roland (Julie); Robert (Caroline); and Claude (Gwen); his sisters, Annette; Florence (Joe); Suzanne (Eugene); Adele (Ken); and Diane (Lucien); his in-laws: Ray (Margaret); Laurence (Louis); Lorene (Paul); Kenneth (Florence); Donald (friend Carol); Jeannot (Yvonne); Guy (Gabrielle) and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Emilienne; his brothers Joe and wife Therese and Omer (Dolores); his sisters Denise (Frank) and Marie-Ange (Walter); his brother-in-law George Gagnon (Annette); his father and mother-in-law Florent and Augustine Robert; his sister-in-law Pat Robert; and two nephews Ryan and Gilles. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Paroisse des Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens, 289 avenue Dussault with M. l'abbe Marcel Toupin officiating. Interment will take place on Monday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba (Manitoba Branch). Our thanks to family and friends who visited him during his illness. The family wishes to thank the nephrologists, the staff on the dialysis unit, the staff on Level 5 and 6 and the staff on the palliative unit for their compassionate care.
